About the Role:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across various DT disciplines, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Engineering. You'll bring the curriculum to life through practical projects that challenge students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical understanding. This role requires a dynamic and supportive educator who can adapt to diverse learning needs and foster a safe, inclusive environment in both the classroom and workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology aligned with the national curriculum.
• Inspire students through hands-on projects and the integration of modern technology.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed in the workshop environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend departmental meetings, and contribute to the DT curriculum development.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the latest DT curriculum standards and an understanding of CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
• Experience teaching secondary school students (Key Stages 3 and 4); experience with Key Stage 5 is a bonus.
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for fostering creativity.
