Teaching personnel are currently working closely with an inclusive secondary school in the heart of Portsmouth who are looking for an outstanding DT teacher to join their team.

As a committed professional, you will have the opportunity to teach our fantastic students from years 7 -11. The successful applicant will be a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who has a positive and open approach to learning. 

The design and Technology department is full of friendly and supportive staff and would be a fantastic environment to further or begin any teaching career.

Teaching Personnel have an outstanding reputation for training and developing colleagues. Therefore, applications are welcome from ECTs as well as experienced teachers.

• A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students
• A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
• Excellent subject knowledge
• Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of delivering Design Technology to KS3 and/or KS4
• Suitable school-based references
• Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
• A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life
• Be educated to degree level
• Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
