Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Secondary SEND School in County Durham (DL16) to recruit a passionate Design & Technology Teacher. This is a full time role, due to commence in the new academic year (September 2020) for at least 1 term, with a view to a permanent contract. 

The successful candidate will be required to teach Design and Technology to secondary school pupils between the ages of 11-16 years (KS3 – KS4) with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. The School are ideally looking for a Resistant Materials/ Engineering Specialst and you will also be required to teach some Art Lessons. You will be required to carry out full teaching duties including planning, marking and assesment. 

To apply for this position you most hold Qualified Teaching Status and have experience of teaching D&T to GCSE level and trained to operate Machinery and Technology Equipment. Experience of working with children with SEND is desired but not essential, however you must have strong behaviour management skills, patience and a passion to motivate your pupils.
