The Headteacher at a mixed comprehensive secondary school located in Boston is seeking to appoint a full-time Design and Technology teacher from September 2020.

  • Full-time Design and Technology teacher required for an open vacancy from September 2020. Initially offered for two terms with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following this.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent within Design and Technology.
  • Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as full support will be provided for the successful post holder.
  • Excellent location and easily accessible for those living in Spalding and Sleaford
  • Pay in line with MPS/Ups GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

The Design and Technology department has fully equipped workshops, catering halls and open plan learning spaces. As the incoming Design and Technology Teacher you can expect to join a highly successful staff team, and department which are thoroughly enjoyed by pupils across Key stage 3 and 4.

As the incoming Design and Technology teacher you will be required to;

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons designed to foster a passion for the subject and develop skills pupils require to progress.
  • Organising and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in line with monitoring, maintaining resources and equipment ensuring it meets all relevant requirements
  • Operate and order materials, preparation and labelling of equipment and facilitate exhibition work.
