Teaching Personnel is recruiting an exceptional Deputy Head Teacher on behalf of a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with complex additional needs. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about driving high standards, supporting colleagues and creating an environment where every learner can thrive.
The successful candidate will join the leadership team from September 2026, although an earlier start can be considered.
Working closely with the Head Teacher, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the school while promoting a culture of excellence, inclusion and continuous improvement.
You'll help shape educational practice, monitor the quality of teaching and learning, support staff development and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.
A significant part of the role involves mentoring colleagues, promoting positive behaviour strategies, overseeing safeguarding responsibilities and ensuring pupils receive the highest standard of education and pastoral support.
You'll also work collaboratively with families, external professionals and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for every learner.
This role requires a confident leader who thrives in a specialist setting and is capable of making an immediate impact.
We are looking for an experienced education leader who can hit the ground running and demonstrate a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils with special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
