Job Title: Deputy Head Teacher

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Salary: £56,000 - £61,882

Contract: Full time, Permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team are partnered with a leading SEN Trust who are currently looking for a Deputy Headteacher to join their campus located in the North East to join from January 2025 or sooner. You’ll be working with girls who have experienced a range of adverse childhood experiences including CSE and SEMH difficulties. Alongside the Head Teacher and the Pastoral Care Manager, you’ll support the delivery of the vision of the learning centre, ensuring we have the right people and plans in place to see that our young people leave feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.

 

Key Duties:

  • To assist the Head Teacher in leading and managing the school.
  • To assist the Head Teacher in formulating the overall aims and objectives of the school and policies for their implementation.
  • To assist the Head Teacher in developing good relationships with local authorities, local community and the parents of its pupils.
  • To assist the Head Teacher in the internal organisation, leadership, management and control of the school.
  • Deployment of Teachers and Teaching and Learning Assistants, in conjunction with the Head Teacher, Assistant Head Teacher and supported by the Pastoral Manager.
  • Management, development and supervision of Teachers.
  • Management, development, supervision and appraisal of Teaching and Learning Assistants in conjunction with the Special Needs Co-ordinator.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ leadership and management experience
  • Experience of liaison with outside agencies and parents
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to complete PRICE Training Course
  • Management training e.g. NPQH/NPQSL
