Join the support department of an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury, providing guidance for pupils aged 11-16.

  • Full-time Cover Supervisor role (part-time negotiable).
  • Required from September 2020 on an ongoing basis with the view of a permanent contract in the future.
  • Earn up to £350 per week depending on responsibilities and experience.
  • Working with pupils at varying levels of learning ability.
  • Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.

The main responsibility of working as a cover supervisor will involve covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers – all resources will be set for every lesson. The successful candidate will be expected to manage behaviour in line with the school policies and ensure all tasks are completed. It will also be important to monitor pupil progress in the absence of the teacher in order to feed this back on their return.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience within an education setting but transferrable skills to support children and young people will also be acceptable.

Our partner school is located in Bury and is easily accessible via the M60 and M66 from surrounding areas including Rochdale, Prestwich and Middleton. The school can also be accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas including Whitefield and Prestwich.
