Are you a graduate considering applying for a secondary PGCE course in September? Do you hold previous experience working within secondary education?

If so, teaching personnel are able to offer you consistent work within our client secondary schools as a cover supervisor, which will enhance your PGCE application in the future.

A number of our client schools within Oldham currently require cover supervisors who are available to work within their school on a regular basis for the remainder of the academic year. Cover Supervisor responsibilities include;

*Covering pre-set lessons in the absence of teachers

*Managing behaviour and ensure tasks are completed

*Cover a range of classes in different subject areas including; PE, English, Maths, Science and Humanities

This position requires good behaviour management skills, whereby you will need to be a confident individual who can gain the respect of pupils and lead lessons on your own. This is an excellent opportunity for any graduates/youth workers looking to pursue a career as a teacher in the future. You will be required to cover lessons in the absence of their normal teacher, deliver provided work and ensure pupils stay on task throughout lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
