Classroom Supervisor – Salford

Are you looking to gain teaching experience within a secondary school?

Do you have experience working with children and young people?

A Classroom Supervisor role is perfect for individuals who are looking to gain teaching experience before enrolling onto a teacher training course. This position is also perfect for candidates who are looking for full-time work within a secondary school, without having a teaching qualification.

  • Starting after October half-term 2022.
  • Earn up to £380 per week, depending on your experience.
  • Experience of any similar positions or transferrable skills is desirable.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour preferred, but not essential.

Working as a Classroom Supervisor in our client schools, your roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
  • Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability
  • Assessing and evaluating pupils’ progress in the absence of the teacher and being able to report this back efficiently for their return.
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.
  • Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities.

Our client school is located in Salford with various links to public transportation from surrounding areas such as Bolton, central Manchester and Stretford. Our client secondary school can also be accessed via the M62 and A580 for candidates who have their own transportation from neighbouring areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
