Classroom Assistant

We are recruiting a committed Classroom Teaching Assistant to support learners aged 16 to 18 within a specialist secondary setting.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people at a key stage of their education.

Working hours: 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

• Provide classroom-based support to learners during lessons

• Encourage engagement, confidence and independence

• Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and preparation

• Build positive, professional relationships with learners and colleagues

• Minimum of 6 months' childcare experience, particularly supporting learners with SEN

• Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable

• A full UK driving licence is essential due to the school's location

• Reliable, patient and enthusiastic approach

• Right to work in the UK

• Competitive pay of £13.75 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
