We are looking for a Classroom Assistant to support SEN students aged 5 to 11 within a welcoming and well-structured setting in Bournemouth.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about supporting young learners in their early education journey.

Working hours: 8.30am to 3pm

Hourly rate: £13.75 per hour

This setting is known for its nurturing approach, strong leadership and commitment to helping every child thrive.

Staff work closely as a team, with clear routines, excellent resources and a positive learning environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to succeed.

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Assist with learning activities and daily routines

  • Help create a positive, engaging learning environment

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Support behaviour and learning in line with school expectations

  • Minimum of 6 months childcare experience, especially supporting children with SEN needs

  • A patient, caring and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
