As a Secondary Chemistry Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how to understand reactions, equations, and processes through structured, step‑by‑step lessons.

Key responsibilities
Teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
Explain reactions and chemical processes clearly
Support students with equations and calculations
Deliver practical lessons safely
Reinforce key scientific vocabulary
Prepare students for GCSE exams
Track progress and address misunderstandings

The classroom environment
Lessons are sequence-driven and clear
Students understand why processes happen
Practical work is controlled and purposeful
Behaviour is consistent

Skills and experience
Strong Chemistry subject knowledge
Clear explanation and modelling skills
Classroom management ability
Organisation and planning

What success looks like
Students confidently explain processes
Improved exam performance
Fewer repeated errors

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with Chemistry or science backgrounds
