1:1 Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
A welcoming primary school in Old Trafford is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 4 pupil who finds certain aspects of learning and the school environment challenging. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity running from September 2026 until the end of the 2026/27 academic year, offered through Teaching Personnel.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–3.30pm
Pay: Competitive daily rate, paid weekly
About the Role
In this role, you will provide consistent 1:1 support to help the pupil access learning, regulate emotions, and engage positively with the school day. The child benefits from a calm, patient adult who can provide structure, reassurance, and clear boundaries while encouraging independence and confidence over time.
You will be part of a wider school team and will work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to implement behaviour strategies and support plans tailored to the pupil’s needs.
This position would suit someone who is:
Experience supporting children with behavioural, social, or emotional needs is highly desirable, whether in a school, care, youth work, or similar setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
