Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary School (Stockport)

Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join one of our partner secondary schools in Stockport. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, particularly those with challenging behaviours and additional learning needs.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to support students' academic and emotional development.
  • Support students in regulating emotions, improving social skills, and engaging with learning.
  • Promote inclusivity, resilience, and positive behaviour across the school.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs, or SEN is desirable.
  • A background in youth work, psychology, sports coaching, or education is beneficial.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and support their emotional well-being.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) is an advantage.
