Behaviour Support Assistant

We are working with one of our Ofsted “Outstanding” partner schools to appoint a full time Behaviour Support Assistant. The role is based at a specialist school for secondary age students with challenging behaviour, and various behavioural needs. Many of the school’s students are dual enrolled, and being supported as they transition back to mainstream education.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will help students to cope better with anything they find challenging, whether this is in school or at home. This includes helping them to build healthy relationships, and develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support students and help them to achieve in a professional, caring manner
  • Be able to work as part of a team and under your initiative
  • Encourage students to engage in their lessons and learning
  • Liaise with the teacher and support staff to monitor progress

The role:

You will be working within the classroom on a 1-1 or 1-2 basis with students.

Working hours for this role are 8.30-15.30, Monday – Friday (term time only).
