A vacancy has arisen for an in school Behaviour Support Assistant to assist in the effective teaching and learning across an SEN school for secondary aged students with ASD and associated challenging behaviours based in Deal, by effectively managing challenging behaviour. They will work in a number of ways including with groups and 1:1 following school discipline and reward policies but also offering mediation and support sessions where appropriate. The role can be one of the most rewarding in the school for people wanting to work with the most vulnerable or difficult students.
To be considered for these roles you will need experience working with students of secondary school age. You could be a TA, LSA, Cover Supervisor, Youth Support Worker, SEND specialist or have experience in a pupil referral unit. Anyone with experience working with challenging secondary school students will be highly sought after.
The successful candidate will work between 8.30 and 3.30 daily.

Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards
Flexibility in approach to classroom delivery and learning material
Willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom
