Behaviour Support Assistant
1:1 behaviour support role in Year 2
Full time (8.45am – 3.15pm)

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school in and the Head Teacher is seeking additional support for one of their Year 2 pupils. Coming from a challenging background, the pupil has behavioural issues and the Head Teacher is ideally seeking a positive role model to work on a 1:1 basis with them to improve their behaviour.
The start date for the role would be Monday 28th September 2020. The Head Teacher is looking for a support assistant who can commit to the role for the full academic year, with the potential of a school contract in the future. This pupil thrives from routine and for the stability of the child, the Head Teacher has stated that ideally, they would be looking for the 1:1 support to continue for the rest of their time at the primary school.
The incoming support assistant will enjoy the benefits of working in a primary school in Blackburn. When the pupils join the school in EYFS there is a high percentage of children who are not ‘school ready’ however when they leave in Year 6 results are generally in line with age related expectation.
The Head Teacher aims to shortlist and interview by Thursday 24th September 2020; ideally the Head Teacher aims to carry out social distanced interviews however this may be done via a video call.
