The Ideal Teaching Assistant:
The ideal TA will need to have resilience in abundance, a good sense of humour & the ability to use your initiative in challenging situations that may arise. Key characteristics of the ideal Support Assistant is anyone who has an interest in supporting challenging behaviour within an SEN Setting or alternative provision, such as psychology graduates and youth workers.
In addition to providing support for the pupil, the candidate will also be required to provide general support with the rest of the class. Tasks included are:

The schools we work with support young people to develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills in addition to their learning and development. As a support assistant you will need to aid in the development of students and help them to cope better with the things they find challenging, whether this is during their school day or at home. The successful learning support assistant will help establish positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is fancying a change in career, or if you have a keen interest in Special Educational Needs, emotional and behavioural needs, and/or psychology.
