Contract: Full time, long-term

A specialist SEMH provision in Bolton is seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. This role involves working with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support in order to engage with education.

You will be supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour, working both within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis. The focus of this role is to support pupils in developing positive behaviours, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional needs
  • De-escalating situations and maintaining a calm environment
  • Acting as a consistent and positive role model
  • Supporting pupils to follow routines and expectations
  • Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
  • Experience working within SEMH, PRU or behaviour settings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure
  • A proactive and resilient attitude
  • Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
