Join Our Team as a Behaviour Mentor – Make a Difference in Student’s Life
Are you passionate about helping students overcome challenges in their educational journey? Do you want to play a key role in supporting a children’s academic and emotional growth? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join our team as Teaching Assistants in a local primary schools Learning Resource Base (LRB).
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and behavioural challenges, empowering them to thrive both in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will require having experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs particularly ASD, either in a professional or personal setting.
Job Title: LRB Teaching Assistant
Location: Newport
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30
Pay: Minimum £12.90 per hour

This school is based in Newport and is easily accessible via public transport. They have around 400 pupils. They have two dedicated class bases to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs. The school has recently undergone Estyn, where the report finds that the school has “created a highly inclusive ethos where the pupils’ wellbeing is at the core of everything that they do. Pupils work together maturely and there is an excellent working relationship between them and staff. They are happy coming to school and feel safe and cared for.”

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
