PAY RATE: £11.85ph

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a number of Learning Support Assistants to work with our Primary schools in the Barry area. There are multiple positions available, including long term and part time, day to day supply.

Expectations of the role:

  • To help the teacher in preparing the classroom for lessons
  • Photocopying worksheets
  • Setting up art equipment and weighing out ingredients,
  • Working on a 1:1 basis supporting pupils with additional learning needs
  • Liaising with parents and providing feedback

The right candidate should be able to provide a creative and exciting learning environment whereby pupils are motivated and encouraged to show ambition, to maximise their potential, and to embrace all aspects of school life in order to develop a wide-ranging skill set.

Job Requirements include:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of two days availability between Monday and Friday
  • Dedication to providing the best support and education to pupils possible
  • Passion for the role and an enthusiastic attitude
  • Enhanced DBS check (Child Only) and registration with the EWC

Whilst no formal qualifications are necessary for this positions, Teaching Personnel will assess your suitability to work with children based on previous employment, education and or transferable skills.
