Art and Design Technology Teacher

Contract: Fixed term until the end of the academic year

We are working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Chorley to appoint a creative and skilled Art and Design Technology Teacher to join their team from 23rd February until the end of the academic year.

This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who can inspire students across Art and DT, fostering creativity, technical skills and confidence in a practical learning environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Art and Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and practical lessons
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
• Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom/workshop environment
• Support students of mixed abilities to achieve their full potential
• Contribute positively to the wider school community

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology in a secondary setting
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to high-quality teaching
• Have a strong understanding of curriculum requirements and health & safety in practical subjects
• Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
