Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support a child on a 1:1 basis with her learning. We are currently working alongside one of our partner schools to recruit a full-time learning support assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with additional needs every morning. In the afternoon the role will consist of working within the reception class as a general teaching assistant.

You will be joining a welcoming and encouraging team who will support you in your new role. This role would suit a Welsh speaker looking for a new experience in the education industry or an experienced learning support assistant looking to work in a new environment.

The role:

  • Provide support for the child with her learning (literacy and numeracy) every morning
  • Each afternoon you will supervise children within the reception class as a general teaching assistant
  • Help the child with her daily morning routine
  • Encourage social interactions in the classroom
  • Manage behaviour within the class
  • Supervise children during the lunch hour

What you need for this role:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Education Workforce Council registration
  • A positive attitude  
  • The ability to speak fluent Welsh
  • 2x professional references
