A specialist education provision in Dorset is seeking a dynamic Sports Coach to join its expanding team from September 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start for the successful candidate.
This part-time, term-time opportunity supports children and young people with additional educational and social needs through physical education, recreation and outdoor learning activities.
The role is ideal for someone who understands the positive impact sport can have on confidence, emotional wellbeing, teamwork and resilience.
Working within a bespoke learning programme, you will become part of a hardworking and supportive school community that values innovation, inclusion and relationship-centred practice.
The successful applicant will be proactive, approachable and able to connect positively with pupils who may have experienced challenges within mainstream education.
As this role involves travelling between educational provisions and activity locations, applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Previous experience working with children, SEND learners or vulnerable young people would be highly beneficial, although enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills are equally important.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a passionate coach who wants to use sport as a tool to motivate, engage and empower pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
The role is subject to safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS clearance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
