We're Hiring!
An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Hayes is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Assistant to work one-to-one with a child who has special educational needs (SEN). This is a full-time, term-time position, ideal for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's education and daily school life.

About the Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the learning, engagement, and personal development of a pupil with additional needs. The role involves:

  • Providing one-to-one support tailored to the child's learning plan

  • Helping with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction

  • Supporting the child's participation in classroom and school activities

  • Assisting with any personal care requirements, if necessary

  • Recording progress and liaising with teachers and specialists

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children, ideally with SEN (training can be provided)

  • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusion

  • Communicates well with both children and adults

  • Works well as part of a team and independently

  • Is proactive and flexible in responding to a child's needs

  • Holds (or is willing to complete) an enhanced DBS check

Desirable but not essential:

  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or SEN

  • Experience with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs
