Learning Support Mentor

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a highly motivated Learning Support Mentor to support students with Autism in a school in Tilehurst, Reading. 

Your role will involve:

• Provide support to individual students or small groups of students with Autism
• Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support the needs of students
• Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and record student progress and provide regular updates to the class teacher and SENCO
• Provide support for students during school trips and other extracurricular activities

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of individual students
• Qualification in teaching assistant or related field is preferred but not essential

This role has the possibility of allowing you career progression to become a Cover Supervisor for the school on a permanent contract.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
