KS1 Primary Teacher – SEND School (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Location: Rochester, Kent | Full-Time | Start: January 2026 or Sooner

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher with a heart for inclusive education and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

One of our fantastic SEND schools in Rochester are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their nurturing and forward-thinking team from January 2026 or sooner. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a setting that celebrates diversity, promotes emotional wellbeing, and supports every child’s unique learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for KS1 pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Foster a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Use creative and multi-sensory teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers.
• Monitor and support pupils’ progress through tailored learning plans.
• Uphold high standards of safeguarding and behaviour management.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience or strong interest in working within SEND settings.
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
