Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a fun and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher in the Poole area for one of our client secondary schools.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant would be required to deliver engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils. They would be working with a variety of abilities and feel confident in adapting their teaching styles to suit the need of each class. They will be enthusiastic and driven with a passion for impacting the lives of a younger generation.

What are we looking for?

  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching
  • Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, and inspiring them to reach their full potential
  • A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students
  • A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of delivering Food Technology GCSE
  • Suitable school-based references
  • Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
  • A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life
  • Be educated to degree level
  • Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
